Aktivasi GPRS Automatic Setting (OTA - Over The Air)

1. Telkomsel Kartu simPATI
Aktivasi:

Sistem akan memberikan pesan notifikasi SMS kepada Anda setelah beberapa waktu untuk memberitahukan bahwa permintaan aktivasi sedang diproses : "Your request for GPRS Setup already received. Please wait for max. 48 hours for succesfull activation notification message."

Pemrosesan aktivasi membutuhkan waktu maksimum 48 jam.

Smart Hadirkan Browsing Gratis Seumur Hidup

Menjelang tutup tahun 2009, dentuman ponsel Qwerty masih terasa kental. Satu demi satu ponsel bundel Qwerty digelontorkan ke pasar Indonesia. Tak ingin ketinggalan, Smart Telecom (Smart) menghadirkan satu lagi varian ponsel dengan desain serupa di koridor CDMA, yakni Samsung Pinger SCH-R351.

Tak tanggung-tanggung, Smart langsung membuat terobosan yang diklaim sebagai yang pertama di industri, yakni layanan browsing Internet seumur hidup.

“Gratis sebulan, dua bulan, atau tiga bulan, sudah nggak zaman lagi. Sekarang zamannya layanan Internetan seumur hidup dan kami pelopornya,” kata Ruby Hermanto, Div Head. Core Product and Branding Smart, di sela Peluncuran Samsung Pinger, di Jakarta, 17 Desember 2009.

Untuk menikmati layanan cuma-cuma itu, pelanggan cukup merogoh kocek sebesar Rp 999.000 (belum termasuk PPN). Namun, layanan ini hanya sebatas browsing melalui Opera Mini, tidak termasuk download ataupun instant messaging (IM).

“Di luar browsing via Opera, pelanggan tetap dikenakan tarif regular 0,5 rupiah per KB atau memilih salah satu layanan internet unlimited,” terang Ruby.

Beberapa pilihan layanan internet unlimited yang ditawarkan Smart termasuk layanan harian (Rp 3.000), mingguan (Rp 15.000), dan bulanan (Rp 45.000) dengan kecepatan hingga 153,6 Kbps (download speed) dan 128 Kbps (upload speed).

Sama seperti ponsel Qwerty lainnya, Samsung Pinger SCH-R351 juga menawarkan aplikasi-aplikasi seperti Facebook, Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, dan beberapa lainnya. Mendukung teknologi CDMA 2000 1x 1900 MHz, ponsel yang support OS Windows XP/Vista dan Mac OS X ini juga bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai modem nirkabel.

Sementara konektivitas lainnya, ponsel yang memakai teknologi injeksi untuk RUIM ini juga dilengkapi Bluetooth 2.0 dan micro USB. Sayang, Samsung tidak menyematkan teknologi Wi-fi di dalamnya.

Untuk layanan purna jual, Samsung menuturkan pelanggan dapat mengunjungi titik-titik service center Samsung yang tersebar di Indonesia.

Mungkin kita pernah baca, dengar atau lihat kata Blu-ray Disc. Sebenarnya apa sih blu-ray itu...??? Aku Juga belum tahu dan pengen tahu juga, setelah buka "kamusnya" internet di http://id.wikipedia.org baru deh aku tahu.

Cakram Blu-ray (Inggris: Blu-ray Disc disingkat BD) adalah sebuah format cakram optik untuk penyimpanan media digital termasuk video definisi tinggi. Nama Blu-ray diambil dari laser biru-ungu yang digunakan untuk membaca dan menulis cakram jenis ini. Cakram Blu-ray dapat menyimpan data yang lebih banyak dari format DVD yang lebih umum karena panjang gelombang laser biru-ungu yang dipakai hanya 405 nm dimana lebih pendek dibandingkan laser merah, 650 nm yang dipakai DVD dan piringan kompak. Format saingan Blu-ray yaitu HD DVD juga menggunakan laser jenis yang sama. Cakram Blu-ray dapat menyimpan 25 GB pada setiap lapisannya dibandingkan dengan 4,7 GB pada DVD. Beberapa pabrik bahkan telah membuat cakram Blu-ray satu lapis dan dua lapis (50 GB) yang dapat ditulis ulang.[1] Beberapa studio film yang mendukung format Blu-ray bahkan telah merilis atau mengumumkan akan merilis film pada cakram berkapasitas 50 GB.blue ray lebih pendek dari panjang gelombang laser memungkinkan untuk menyimpan lebih banyak informasi pada 12 cm CD / DVD ukuran disk. Minimum "spot size" di mana sebuah laser dapat terfokus dibatasi oleh difraksi, dan bergantung pada panjang gelombang dari cahaya dan kecepatan rana numerik dari lensa yang digunakan untuk fokus itu. Dengan penurunan panjang gelombang, meningkatkan kecepatan rana numerik 0,60-0,85 dan membuat penutup lapisan tipis agar terhindar dari efek optik yang tidak diinginkan, laser dapat difokuskan ke tempat yang lebih kecil. Hal ini memungkinkan lebih banyak informasi yang akan disimpan di daerah yang sama.

Cakram Blu-ray mirip dengan PDD, format cakram optik lainnya yang dikembangkan oleh Sony dimana sudah tersedia sejak 2004. PDD memilik kecepatan transfer data yang lebih tinggi. PDD lebih ditujukan untuk pemakaian data bisnis atau cadangan.

Cakram Blu-ray sekarang ini pernah terlibat dalam perang format dengan saingannya HD DVD yang dikembangkan Toshiba. Setelah beberapa perusahaan film dan peritel besar mulai mengakhiri dukungan terhadap format HD DVD pada awal 2008, pada 19 Februari 2008 Toshiba mengumumkan akan mengakhiri produksi dan pengembangan HD DVD sehingga secara langsung menyudahi perang format tersebut.

For those of us who also have to keep old bits of kit alive the coverage of older versions of Windows is particularly welcome. A few more Linux hacks would have been welcome though, as would have been coverage of a few useful open source tools.

While most of the book is devoted to maximising performance, the final chapter of the book includes a range of topics devoted to configuring a new machine. These hacks include hardening a system to protect against viruses, trojans and other malware.

If you are interested in learn to hack you machine to get the most bang for your buck then this is a book definitely worth investigating.

Agentless Application Virtualization

* Zero-runtime execution. With no installed agent, no footprint is left on the endpoint device. Applications run directly from the compressed state without first caching data to the hard disk, achieving better performance and security of data.
